Not yet having gained enough traction to play a significant role in today's election, the presentation of political campaigns by way of easily accessible and syndicatable online video players like those from Brightcove and Click.TV that empower candidates to get their message out to voters without indebting or ingratiating themselves to a small group of corporate and wealthy contributors who thereby gain a disproportionate influence over the workings of government compared to that of the ordinary citizen, individually or collectively, this medium for political discourse may, or may not, assume increased importance in future campaigns, maybe even as early as the fall, 2006, elections.
