Victor Gill, spokesperson for Bob Hope Airport, Burbank, California

two interviews with Bob Hope Airport spokesperson Victor Gill

Earlier this year, Bob Hope Airport spokesperson Victor Gill spoke with this reporter about the history and operations of this airport, located in Burbank, California, and owned and operated by the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority.

In a second interview, conducted this morning, Mr. Gill talked about how the airport has adapted to yesterday's directive from the Transportation Security Admininistration (TSA) following the disclosure of an alleged bombing plot based in the U.K. and Pakistan.

The directive, shown below in the form of a flyer being given to those arriving today at Bob Hope Airport, prohibits passengers from bringing liquids, gels, and toothpaste on-board in their carry-on luggage.

During this interview, Mr. Gill said that whether or not passengers would also be prohibited from bring iPods, cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices on-board is a decision that resides with the Transportation Security Administration, which has not yet issued such a directive.
